Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists
DAVID B. CULPEPPER

Dave Culpepper is a licensed Louisiana Professional Geoscientist, and a licensed Arkansas Professional Geologist. He currently serves as Chief Operations Officer for KourCo Environmental Services, Inc. Prior to starting his own company in 2002, he was vice president of Groundwater Technology, Inc. (GTI), then Regional Chief of Operations for PELA, Inc., founded by the former chief of the Groundwater Branch for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Dave’s experience with innovative technology development includes serving as president of NanoFex, LLC, a company based on use of carbon nano particles for remediating soil and groundwater.

In 2021 he was appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards to serve on the Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists. He was previously appointed by Gov. Bobby Jindal and Gov. John Bel Edwards to serve as a commissioner, representing geoscientists, on the Louisiana Water Resources Commission. 

He has served on the New Orleans Geological Society Board of Directors, ASTM Committees E50 on Environmental Assessment, Risk Management and Corrective Action, and ATSM E2718-21, Standard Guide Financial Disclosures Attributed to Climate Change. He holds a Bachelor of Science from LSU, Baton Rouge.
